A 'Race, commonly mistaken for a Species, was a group of organisms bearing the same (with consderation to in-race variation) biological and physical properties in contrast with other races, which would bear the same basic properties. A race is not equal to a species as there are many races within a species.

Throughout human history on Pollaris 4, members of the respective races bear a greater amount of hostility towards other races than others within their races.
